I have 2 computers both running xp. I share the cable internet with the 2 computers by a Linksys G wireless router. The router is about 25-30 feet from the PC’s in the same room. I am kicked off the network almost daily. Some days I’ am fine but most days I lose the connection 2-3 times in about an hour. The closest cordless telephone is in another room about 15 feet away no microwaves. I check the signal it will say “excellent “and a few minutes later I get kicked off and the signal says low?

Thanks for any help

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif forums.

I think the cordless phones are your problem. I have wireless in my vacation house and i deliberately got a 900 mhz phone so there would be no problem.

As a test, I would turn off, as in disconnect, the cordless phones for 24-28 hours. re-set the modem, re-boot the PC's and see what happens. If you don't get kicked off, turn the phone back on. If you get problems then, it's off to Office Max to get a 900 mhz phone.
