Check Disk

Does anyone know why Check Disk would take 12 hours to complete? This was so long, I couldn't believe it - usually takes about 4 hours on my computer.

Were you running it in Safe Mode? What are your system specs? OS? It could be due to any number of things, but usually running it in Safe Mode is the best option.

How big is the volume and how are you running chkdsk and with which switches (if any)? With /I or /C on ntfs volumes then the time can be reduced.

dang thats so slow
check disk only takes me an 1hr to 1hr 30 min and my hard drive is loaded like i only have 10gb out of 60gb which is not good(good thing im getting an external harddrive)
