ok i have a dell inspiron 5150 and i have 512mb of ram
if this might help i have intel pentium 4, 3.06ghz, 60gb of memory of which 40 is used (im gonna get an external harddrive so culd u help me choose one i wuld like it to be not too pricey and around 160gb to 250 gb)
i like to play a lot of games and like to use programs
would it help any to upgrade my ram and if so by how much?
128 more mb?256?512?
someone please help me
and i am also wondering if it is possible to change my graphics card in my laptop and do it myself? becus right now i have a nvidia geforce 5200 32mb and i was wondering if i culd change it to a better graphics card? like a nvidia geforce 6600 128mb
and also which mouse is better to get logitech mx510 or logitech mx518
or if u know of any better gamin mice that are under $60

I think I read the specs as saying you can have up to 2 GB and I think there are two slots. So if you have a 512mb stick then upgrading to another 512 stick won't hurt you. Memory for the notebook isn't cheap, especially from Dell. :p

As far as the video card upgrade, I ran across this chart (http://www.bay-wolf.com/videoupgrade.htm) for the possible combinations applicable for the 5150. According to the chart you may be limited to what you can upgrade to.

Of course, if you contact Dell I'm sure they will be more than happy to hook you up for upgrades........but at a hefty price! :eek:
