Spybot SD & 139(mm).com

When I update the Spybot Sd and then pressed IMMUNISE sheild ---- MS AntiSpyware popped up and said it had blocked 139mm.com from the restricted zone (or something like that - happens to fast for me read and absorb). I have tried to re-create it but no go. Is Spybot trying to put something somewhere that MS anti-spyware dissagrees with?

Anyone give me an indication of what it means?

I did a goolge search on 139mm.com and came up with the following. But I cnnot get it to mean anything to me. (even my specticals are needing specticals :D )

It would appear that Spybot is attempting to block 139mm.com by adding to the restricted sites zone.
But Microsoft Anti-Spyware has a problem with Spybot doing this, (and possibly for other sites)

To quote the Microsoft site:
"The real-time monitoring does not distinguish between additions to the restricted sites zone and additions to the trusted sites zone."

So you should click "allow" when Microsoft prompts you, and Spybot is then able to do the block.

Hope this makes it clear.

So it appears that this is just Spybot not playing nicely with MSAS...

Wouldn't worry about it, but I would add this domain to my restricted list manually if it's not already there (in Safe Mode, preferably, so MSAS doesn't have a chance to stop it from happening).

I would avoid running two resident spyware protection programs at the same time however... For similar reasons why it can be a problem to run 2 AV or firewalls at the same time... Conflicts can cause problems...

I am running the same programs that I have been running for a few years now. the only new thing over the past year is MS Antivirus and that has been on my computer for quite a few months now. they are as follows: Firewall and
(run automatically) AVG - MS AntiSpyware - these are set to run on alternate days.
(runs manually) Ad-Aware - A2 - SpybotSD - CWshredder - CCleaner - These are run manually / 0ne at a time once or twice a week
(sits in the background) Spyware blaster - Spyware guard - BHO cop - HJT

Every sunday morning all scans are run manually one at a time. (Overkill? IMHO
just safety measures) all of htese have been sitting on my computer quite comfortably for a long time now with no probs. It is only recently that MS & SpyBot have caused this problem

What I was talking about is the resident protection programs... I am not sure what MS AntiSpyware calls that component, but Spybot calls it TeaTimer... If you run both of those at the same time, you are likely to run into conflicts and that could account partly for what you experienced if you are running them both... If you are only running one of them for scans, that would not cause the same problem. You can run a scan with almost any program with low probability of conflict with another program, but running resident programs just increases the opportunities for them to clash...

That is quite a vigorous regimen, but if it works for you... ;)

I doubt that FastLearner is running both of those programs in his signature....

I do not have tea-timer enabled because of the conflicts you talk about. I tried enabling it a good while ago but dis-abled it after a couple of days.

MSAS is set to run Auto
Spybot is set to run manually

You are correct, Budfred. The programs listed in my signature are listed just to give the users a variety from which to choose. I do not run more than one resident or AV protection program at the same time, as it often causes conflicts, like you mentioned.
