I know......really outdated, but it's the only thing i can do right now. A friend gave me a pc and I want to set it up for my new job. We have broadband in the house and we just bought a wireless pci card for my computer. i need windows98se to run it. Very small ram, only 192 meg. I have two questions, will my computer handle it and where can i get ahold of it? Please tell me that as old as that program is, one doesn't have to pay for it anymore. New job and I really poor. I do plan on upgrading more later on with more memory and such, but hopefully i don't need it now.

What is the CPU in the PC? I think most wireless cards say a P2 300 with 98SE is minimum and you have more than enough RAM. Unfortunately, unless you can find someone who will give you a copy, you still have to buy 98SE. I've heard you can find it on eBay for around $40 or less.

XP will run well with 192MB of ram. I just finished installation of XP on PIII 700mhz celeron, 128MB ram and it runs very well.

Have a spare cd here waiting to be used. Let me know if you still need one.

Me too, I have a cd and an iso image. But that'd be illegal, right?
