I've got a b/g WLAN router.
My notebook says that it is connected to the network but i cannot access the net or the desktop PC that I have.
If i "borrow" my neighbors connection i can access the net jus fine what do i have set up incorrectly?

Welcome aboard!
You may need to set your WAPs default gateway - this should be the lan address of your router (assuming you are using one)

What kind of ISP do you have?
Your laptop says its connected as the connection between the router and notebook is working fine but in order for the internet to work your router need to be connected to your ISP.
Is is a DSL connection or Cable connection?
What kind of modem do you have
Depending on what you have read the instructions on setting your router up accordingly and go from there.
See if you router is getting an IP address from your ISP, that would be the best check
