My System:
933 PIII
Windows ME
383 RAM
20 Gig HD
Intel 82810E Graphics Controller

Ok the problem I am having is I play an online game and I run fine until more stuff opens on my screen. The more things that appear on the screen the slower i get. This is not a 3d game though just a 2d game. All my drivers are up to date. I think its the video card. Help?

Um, what do you mean by "until more stuff opens on my screen"; parts of the game or other programs?

If it is other programs you should try to keep only the minimal amount running that you need in order to play the game (like maybe a browser window, anti-virus, etc) and disable the rest. You are most likely encountering a "resource" problem...

Adding to mjc's comment, do you dump your Temporary Internet File cache before you play the games?

Yes i empty my temp files and close as much stuff while running the game. When i meant by stuff opening i mean by gumps opening in the game itself. Like opening a book in the game or any other visuals will cause more lag

The onboard graphics adapter is the cause of the slowing down. It does not have enough punch to keep the gaming frame rates up when things get hot and heavy. Get an AGP video card and things will smooth out considerably.

Ski...it is an intel 810 motherboard...99% of them DO NOT have an AGP slot, so the best he could do is a PCI card.

Oz, unfortunately the 810 chipset set is not really a gaming set, and yes the are some Geforce 3 PCI cards (there are cards, too) available that could possibly help. Also try the latest drivers (should be able to get from Intel).
