Seems like a good idea for those less savvy PC owners. What does this say about Microsoft though?

I will give Microsoft the benefit of the doubt and say that it is a neat idea.

For unbootable computers, i just use a linux-live cd (knoppix or featherlite) or for at libraries and the like, i use portable firefox.
