A user brought me their personal computer, and asked me if I could take a look.. said she was getting to safe mode.. It's an Acer Aspire with a date of //97. Acer has nothing about it on any website I can find, and the user manual only shows a picture with the 'Activity Indicator Light' labeled.
My situation is this. She got more than I did.. I cannot even get to 1st base here.. the drives don't light, the keyboard doesn't light.. Only the power light comes on and this 'Activity Indicator Light' comes on.. which first blinks alternating yellow/green/yellow....... etc.. and finally changes to a steady yellow/yellow/yellow. I have tried re-seating everything I can think of inside, and even tried swapping the hard drive, etc., but this is all I ever get. I did ask her to bring in her monitor, as perhaps there is something specific here that is preventing the system from going further than the activity indicator light.
Anyone can shed any light??
