Registry Problems?

Running XP Home on a computer which was fine until registry was cleaned out. No task bar or start menu on screen, and no abililty to right click mouse. We tried a reinstall of XP in case files had been deleted, but now when starting in normal mode, it prompts for Windows activation; at which point when clicking Yes, it hangs and then logs off. (Having said that, not sure if the blank desktop problem has been fixed as cant access it in normal mode. Safe mode works fine)
The computer is on a wireless network, and everything looks as though it is still installed.


Any ideas would be greatly appeciated :confused:

When you reinstall windows, you have to reactivate it. Choose to do it manually and call the 800 number.....
