How can I stop the NIS pop-up that says: Rules created for Microsoft Generic Host Services Win 32?

What is Norton Internet Security doing when it creates rules for Microsoft Generic Host?

Why does my virus definitions say that there out of date yet the product has been registered?
Also when Live update has been run it says that my definitions are upto date.

Will it be ok to re-register the same product with the same info?

I ran pconpoint and it told me that I had about 200 errors on pc, obviously it only deletes 3 sections if you don't pay for the program. Does anybody know what these errors could be?

If anybody can help with the limited info above I'd be very happy. Also willing to provide more info upon request.

Thanks for your time so far.

Easy, just uninstall NIS. Seriously!

Yep, uninstall it and go with something like AVG or Avast for antivirus and Sygate or Kerio for a firewall. Problem solved.

We are serious.

I've never heard of pconpoint, probably for a good reason. Many of those types of programs--the ones that say you have a billion errors but we'll only fix a couple unless you give up the cash--are usually scams and crap.
