Problem with Linspire

I managed to burn the new 5.0 version of Linspire from an .iso file onto CD and then when booting up the PC, got a message saying "input not supported". Would I have better luck installing it on a hard drive partition instead?

Any ideas what caused this and what to do.

Someone on another forum thought that the monitor caused this but the problem was solved by putting the CD on my other computer which has some of the latest state-of-the-art hardware on it(an Intel Pentium D dual core processor).
