Data Execution Prevention

I recently purchased a new PC that insist on running the Microsoft Execution prevention program. I get the close down screen when trying to view control panel, work with explorer, etc. Is there anyway to disable this program other than going through the manual process as outlined in the advanced tab of the DEP management? I hate it!

I don't run XP, however, you might want to have a look at this MS support page and look for the OPTOUT mentioned about midway down the page...
