Trouble Installing Visual Studio 6.. HELP!!....

Hello. I've been trying to SUCCESSFULLY install visual studio 6, and it has been failing! Towards the end of the installation I get an error.. "'pdm.dll' was unable to register itself into the registry".. It won't register like any DLL in the installation.. it's weird. This is an administrative account..Hope someone could please help...! Hope to hear from someone soon.

I never install programs within the ordinary Windows environment if I can avoid it [programs running in the background].
Try installing this after going to "Start->Run->msconfig->Diagnostic Startup->Normal mode at restart" [no programs running in the background]. This is like Safe Mode, but with optical drive accessibility added. Power-off your modem [or disconnect from the web] because no firewall will be running.
I hope the installation program won't attempt to go out onto the web to register; if so you can't use this method unless it allows you to register later once connected again.

Where is the installation program located when you run it?
