Oky, it runs fine EXCEPT whenever I browse the internet with firefox or opera or any other browser, it automatically restarts after a few minutes of browsing. If I run AIM or limewire, the PC doesn't restart. But it only restarts when running firefox/opera/ any other browser.
XP service pack 2, 512mb RAM, 3GHz, Zonealarm Free firewall, AVAST free antivirus.

Have you gone into the System Properties and picked that one option to keep the system from automatically restarting and then triggers a stop error?

... to control panel-> adminstrative services-> event viewer-> under applications TAB you will see if it's one of those other browsers failing.

Oh, what you have is a "page fault in a non paged area".
Do a search on the Forums and Google and you will find the answer.

True, but this can also be due to defective RAM. Would suggest you remove it, clean the underside with a pencil eraser, consider swapping locations of the chips in the slots(if more than one)and run memtest86(in fact the frequency of your rebooting would seem to suggest this RAM issue).

Take Quantax's advice. I had the same error pop up to the point where I couldnt boot up. Ended up being a ram problem

YOu know what? It's not a RAM issue. Windows 2000 boots fine and I think the problem is solved now, because I unplugged the USB to the camera and switched to AVG antivirus instead of AVAST, (google told me that antiviral software may be the problem). I'm on xp right now.

If you mentioned Limewire I would do a spyware scan or six or so since it is bundled with spyware. Never helped any situation that I know of.

You're right, I overlooked that or at least failed to add it for your consideration. I myself have never had any problems with Avast which I run on one PC but AVG on the other(but the reason for the AVG was because I didn't think AntiVir was terribly effective_.

I use AVG on all of my machines without a glitch. If you agree to a eula with a spyware infecter like Limewire you will get loaded down anyhow including the dreaded VX2. Go to webroot and try there antispy trial version. If you have it go to Majorgeeks and try their fixes. let me know as I remove a lot of spyware.

Eh, I should let you guys know that limewire PRO 4.9.30, (which is what I have on both OS'es), are spyware free. Yep. Ran spybot S&D, Ms ANtispyware, spyware free. Also, Limewire says it's no longer spyware-inhibited.
Limewire (Current versions of Limewire are clean. Older versions bundled spyware)

one word for "limeware" (and other such p2p crapola spys-emule... blabla...)--- the alternative for these is torrents (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=torrents) ...

(as much if not more than I should say here .)
