I am running Windows 98 and have just started having a problem, when I first boot up it says hard drive failure ininiment and starts doing a scan disk and putting the bad sectors in a place where they can't be used at the rate it is going it would take a week sitting at the PC doing this.A friend of mine that emails me alot had the same problem and reloaded his PC to fix it.I thought maybe he picked up a virus and gave it to me but I keep Norton updated and check every week for virus's but do not have one.I can get the PC up and running but would like to have this fixed. Any help? Thanks Benny

Benny: This means just what it says. Hard drive failure is imminent. Backup your data. Get a new hard drive and do it before you loose what's on the PC have a crisis on your hands.
