My PC is a Compaq 5000, AMD Duron 901MHz and 256MB SDRAM. My operating system is Windows XP Professional.
I ran a Windows Diagnostic V0.4 Tool and the following was the result of that test. Can someone please shed a little light on this result as I would like to know if it means having to replace the RAM or the PC?

Is your system experiencing any problems?

Yes, it will not shut down properly, it stalls and I have to manualy turn it off plus it cuts out and restarts at times.

Run Memtest86.
If it also reports problems, then:
-Make sure that only default settings are enabled for the memory in BIOS.
-Remove and reinsert the memory a few times.
-If the system uses multiple RAM modules, then install just one module at a time and try it in different slots.
-Swap out with known good memory.

Thanks Ski I'll do that. It has two sticks of Ram that are 128 each, I will remove and replace just to make sure (could be simple as that).
Cheers!
