Internet Explorer Problem

I have an old laptop iwth newly installed XP Home Edition. IT has a wireless card that works fine. Signal is strong etc.... I cannot open Internet Explorer. It says that it canot find DNS (the white page). WHat do I have to do to make this work?

This does not sound like an IE problem. What is your current setup (all computers, routers, etc.)?
