MS has a beta for OneCare. An AV, two way FW, antispyware, full and incremental backup, windows tuneup program. Any one heard about this or have the beta yet?

Now we know why they bought all those companies in the past year.

Why should Microsoft stand to profit from MS' lax security?
You pay once for the OS and software, now they want you to pay them again to fix the errors?

They sent me an invitation to participate in the beta testing and then never sent me a way to do it. Nice beta program administration don't ya think?

I certainly agree. But some will use it when it is released. I do believe it is to be already installed on Vista(read it in a blog somewhere) but not sure. But available to XP and higher only.
Just wondered if anyone had any info on it. Since people will use it we will have to deal with it's problems sooner or later.

Someone made a comment it was designed for "joe sixpack", but that wasn't me.
Similar thing were said about MS Antispyware, even though the program itself was a decent software package.

They are looking to put an awful lot of people out of business with this... The main ones left will probably be the biggest and most bloated along with the rogues...
