I had to replace the motherboard on my PC. I couldn't get the one I had before so I got a diffferent one, an MSI PT880 Neo, which is quite similar to what I had before.
Before I replaced the motherboard the system was functional (there were other issues unrelated to the software installation that made it necessary to replace the motherboard).
The system boots, more or less: I get the Windows XP splash screen for a few seconds but then system stops booting.
I figured I have to reinstall everything, so I tried to run the Windows XP installation disk. Now however, the CD - after going through the first step - tells me it can't find the hard drive, although at startup the disk is detected.
I checked in the BIOS, there I can't find it either. I am stumped. Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks
FF
