not booting

could some one help me here, my pc was sitting idle for about three months i decided to past some time one day but when i plug her in, power up nothing happen, only sound i hered was the hard drive doing its work, nothing on the monitor, it just not booting up what could be the problem.

If the pc is apparently working with noises and flashing LEDs and so on perhaps it is booting up but your monitor is the problem. If you power up the monitor on its own without attaching it to the PC do you get any display at all?
