Symantec raises renewal prices

Symantec raised renewal prices across the board for their security products on Monday despite the expected entry of Microsoft into the security space:

I would say they're doomed, but Peter (does he still have anything at all to do with the company) will find a way to survive. I think you'll see the company split off into a couple of divisions--the PM and Ghost type parts and the security part. I also firmly believe M$ is going to split into at least three different companies.
