Here's my computer:
AMD Opteron 1.8 Gig
1024 Ram
NVidia GeForce 6600 GT
And the problem... For some reason, a few games like Half-Life 2 and the new F.E.A.R. simply cannot seem to run. What happens is that a few seconds after I start playing, or sometimes even in the game start video, the computer crashes, freezes still with a buzzing sound, and the computer just restarts.
It's not a heating problem since most games just work fine. I have the latest Nvidia drivers and they were installed (reinstalled too) correctly.
The same problem also occurs if I try to play a video with Windows Media Player... The system hangs (99% of the CPU used by MMP), and after a moment, the computer restarts.
Very strange. I have not idea what's going on ! Months ago, I had an ATI 9800 and this problem never occured.
