Hey.

I bought my graphics card about a year ago i think its the GeForce FX 5200 PCI 128MB DDR Dual VGA, S-Video card but im not 100% sure. any way i have used it fine until recently i purchased a new computer. iv followed the instructions in tha manual but when i insert the cd it has a box at the bottom saying ' Installed Graphics Adapter: Not Found ' and then when i try to install the Drivers for the card i get a message ' The Graphics Adapter installed in the system is not compatible with the current set of drivers'

Im am not sure what the 'Graphics adapter' is as on my old computer the drivers instaled OK. Please can you tell me what they are and where i can get them from so i can install the card.

And if the are the DirectX things, iv installed them fine.

Please help.

What does your new computer have for graphics? Is it onboard? Or does it have it's own card.

Yeah... unfortunately we can't just tell you what you have. We don't know. That's like asking us what color your car is. How are we suppose to know that? If you give us more info, we can help you. But otherwise we're shooting in the dark here.

Ok, it sounds like your new computer isn't quite meshing well with that PCI vid card. You'll have to go into the BIOS and change some settings - like disabling the onboard video and changing the graphics initialization order.

What's your new computer, anyway?

Not sure but it has a L7VMM3 motherboard with a amd XP3200 prosser. how do i disable the onboard video and changing the graphics initialization order. Also my computer has not detected the card. Does this mean its broke or maybe my PCI ports are not installed proply?? im not very good with computers, any help is greatly appreciated

Couple of questions, have you tried downloading the drivers from the card manufactuer's web site? Is the card securely in place?

To go into the Bios look for a message on the first screen that comes up. For me, I get a message in the top right-hand coner saying "press F2 to enter Setup." Press what ever it askes for to enter the setup. Then look for a submenu titled something like "Video." Under that you should be able to switch the primary video to auto.
