Have any of you guys looked at or tried the Avant web browser? My friend showed it to me but I'm looking to see if you guys no anything about it. I'm using Firfox right now and am happy. Avant appears to use a lot of IE stuff. Any idea on what its security is like?

That one is a customization of IE. Same basic security bugs as IE.
which adds a batch of features and functionalities to Internet Explorer.

Do you know anyone who has used it? It looks on their web page that they seured it somewhat. . . well on second thought here is a quote from thier F.A.Q. section-
"Is Avant Browser a secure browser?
Yes, Avant Browser is secure. Since it's based on Internet Explorer, Avant Browser is as secure as Internet Explorer. Avant Browser supports all SSL secured websites. Avant Browser's encryption length is the same as Internet Explorer's."
I see what you mean. IE secure my face! IE and security are antonyms!
