We need to know a little more:
What games are you playing when this occures?
How many fans does your pc case have?
do you have the newest drivers for your card?

"previously the game run juz fine" means after getting the video card n using it...it has no prob all along until this few day..then the prob starts to arise...

What I would do in such circumstances is restore an image backup of the C: partition made when everything worked just fine.
If that didn't fix it I'd know that it wasn't a software problem and would begin looking at hardware or BIOS as possible culprits.
If you don't have a backup perhaps you run Winxp and could "jump back" to a suitable "Restore Point".
If you can't do that...
Perhaps you should try a "repair" reinstallation of Windows.
And if that doesn't fix it...
Uninstall and reinstall the games programs.
And if that doesn't fix it...
Reinstall the driver files for the video card.

Sylvander, do you think it would be easier to start with simply re-installing the driver before going through all the work of restoring?
boon.C, what did you have for a graphics card before this one?

"do you think it would be easier to start with simply re-installing the driver before going through all the work of restoring? "
I see where you're coming from but...
What I was thinking is...
Drivers are split into modules or parts...
Windows supplies that part of the whole driver that is common...
and the OEM supplies that remaining portion of the driver that links to their hardware...
But this problem is affecting a number of programs...
so I was thinking it might be the windows portion of the driver that is the problem [could be wrong of course]; so perhaps it might be most important to make sure that the Windows installation is ok.
And only then make sure that the OEM portion of the driver is ok.

Interesting. Boon, you should follow Sylvander's advice-not mine.

boon.C, did you complete remove the old drivers? Have you gone to your card manufacturer's web site to get the newest drivers?

some parts of the pixel on the screen will go missing...it's like watching n very bad condition dvd... wher ther's lines n boxes every where on the screenSounds like a vid RAM corruption problem. Could be heat related, or it could be that one or more of the vid card's RAM chips went bad. Try putting that old S3 Virge GX2 back in and see if the problems still occur. Or try opening the case and set up a house fan to blow air into the case.
It could also be a software problem, but I tend to think that if the games were running smoothly for 6 months and this problem occured over the last few days, then something could be wrong with the vid card (pending any major software changes recently).
