How do I go about further researching packed image files? Process Explorer goes to the trouble of identifying them, and mentions that they are potentially malware. Jotti.org does the same after an online file scan. All of my searching has only revealed that packed images may or may not be something to worry about!
Obviously using those search terms yields a lot of noise. Are there utilities to further analyze this type of file? FileAlyzer asks if I want to decompress and analyze packed images, but it never works for me. Can someone help me find some links to useful info on this? Thanks for any input.
