Hi Gang, Charles thanks for a great site and to The Screensavers (ZDTV/TechTV)for reccomending it. I did read the 100/133 forum discussion. My question, not to sound like a broken record, is in regards to upgrading the RAM by adding a stick of 128 to the existing 64. I have an Amptron PC100 mobo 3741LMRT using a Celeron 500mHz processor the software(in the BIOS CPU PnP) auto controls bus speeds 66 or 100 is possible. By using the celeron do I have to buy 66mHz memory stick or can I use the PC100 RAM and at least have it be usable even if I get no benefit from the higher bus (save for upgrading processor later). I was doing OK with this stuff up unitl I hit this wall-Thanks folks-Jerry

Maybe clarify one thing, are you having a problem right now with the new stick of ram or having a problem with pc100 ram? Rightfully, your system should not only work fine with pc100 ram stick installed, it should utilize the pc100 speed. I had a pc66 stick, 32 megs of ram, and I added a pc100 stick, 128 megs of ram, and it worked together, but it ran faster without the 32 ram card. I have never heard of celeron's being picky about ram cards at all.

I beleive the Celeron runs at 7.5*66... but I am tired and could easily be confused. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks team...I haven't purchased the stick yet, I was just preparing my head. I'll be doing a lot of overhauling in the next couple of weeks...ps-I like Crucial as well, I used them for upgrading the work computer, I like the Micron chips-Thanks again-Jerry
