OK 2 more questions on the upgrade...in re ram is the Kingston chipset OK if I can get it for about $40 less than the Micron? And I'm looking to better my video currently have 8MB AGP on board (no AGP slot) is the Voodoo, Diamond or Guillemot(Hercules/Prophet, etc.), or ATI better for my system using the 500MHz Celeron? I'm thinking 32MB PCI 3D for around $150 or less. I don't plan on extreme gaming but would like to work with c++ and have a workable 3D environment (I'll upgrade RAM to 192MB first). Thanks for any opinions/advice-Jerry http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/confused.gif

Hi Jerry,

By "chipset" do you mean RAM? The Kingston will probably do an adequate job for you, sure.

As for the video, check first to be sure you can add a new card to your existing system. I can't recommend specific cards but I'm sure someone here can. Also check out reviews at a good review site like AnandTech (http://www.anandtech.com).
