i've accidentally switch off the power b4 shutting down my comp. from then on whenever i start my comp, i get the blue screen asking mi to check my disk for E drive.

i've tried to defrag my E drive using Diskkeeper Lite and got the error

there's this CHKDSK that is scheduled to runon the volume. this is due to user request or operating system has found an error in th efile system.CHKDSK will run on the next system reboot.until CHKDSK is run, diskeeper cannot defrag tis volume

can someone kindly help mi with my problem
thnx

Dont be in any hurry to defrag but do run chkdsk if it doesnt run itself.

From the run box enter
chkdsk e: /r

i've run the check disk during start up.
after that windows start normally but the next time i switch on my comp the blue screen appears and ask mi to run check disk again.
everything resume as per normal just that i get the blue screen asking mi to run check disk everytime i start up and it's irritating

Sounds to me like you've got a dirty bit. Chkdsk will run every time you boot. Try looking at this thread for some ideas: http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?t=33442&highlight=dirty+bit
