Hello Druben and welcome,
The best advice I can give is, "Micheal Meyers A+ study guide". This is a very comprehensive book (over 900 pages) on troubleshooting, repairing, and identifying computers and their parts.
It comes with a CD ROM to help prepare you for the A+ exam and includes some useful utilities.

Another resource is right here. If you go to the main site and do a search or just look thru things, you will learn more than you want to http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif.

You can also look thru the Certification (http://www.pcguide.com/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Certification&number=5&DaysPrune=1000&LastLogin=) forum and find some other resources for studying for the A+ exam.

Good luck on the job http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

EDIT, I see you have already been to the certification forum. Please do not double post. It becomes confusing to those trying to help and won't get your question any better response.
Thanks
