can't see other PC in another vlan

Hello,

I'm using Win2000 and i'm on a different vlan. My coworker is on another vlan but we are on the same physical lan.

The question is why i can't access to his computer to shere files, printer etc. He is also using win2000

hi - welcome aboard

first off, you need a layer 3 device (usually a router) in order to go between vlans - after all, the system just sees them as separate lans.
your systema admin could have placed a simple acl preventing any communication between your VLANs, which would mean that you will not be able to communicate.

give us a few more details about your setup - switch, router etc, and if you have admin rights to the lan.
