What program are you using to mount the image?
And what is FF8? Some games have antiimage protection to stop people from running the game on an image.

Ok, then in that case, make sure that there is nothing in any other drives, turn on all emulation, and try running the game in windows 200 capadability mode (this last one is if you have winXP).
Also, is this a legit copy?

Ok, i'm not sure why the game is not working then. I'm guessing that the game is designed to ignore virtual drives. Try DLing a program called "virtual cd hide".
If you can't find it, my email is scytheblades@hotmail.com
Send me your email address and I will send you the program.

i an not a nerd, It is not a good idea to post your email- unless you want a bucketful of spam. The Mods will most likely come by and delete that for you.

Well, this is a throwaway email address so I really don't care all that much.
