after i bought my tiny pc the company went bust 2 months later, last week i had to change the motherboard due to a fault.
when i booted up the pc it crashed at win login
i found out that becouse i changed the motherboard win xp did not let me go any further
when i booted from the reload cd that came with the machine it would say "did not regonize bios string"
the reload cd only points to a hidden partition on the harddrive to reinstall every thing
is there a way of booting into this hidden partition or reinstalling everything from another hard drive..
or a way of altering the tclone folder (reload) to by pass the checks

i have another version of xp home but it would be nice to get all the other software that came with computer working again

any help would be appreceated

p.s. i have tried partition magic no luck
casper xp no luck

easy recovery profesional regonises a hpfs partition but does not let you look at any files or boot into it

thank you

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif

I would contact the company that made your computer... You may have voided the warranty by replacing the motherboard, but, on the other hand, they probably should have replaced it under warranty... I don't think you will have much luck otherwise though...

You are going to need help from someone that knows more about dealing with hidden partitions than I do... You can certainly get up and running with your copy of XP, but the other software in the partition may be useless.... Did you check to make sure that no one is taking responsibility for the companies warranties?? If they have been purchased, that may have happened...
