This is great news. Having a major developer announce development for Nintendo's next console will hopefully get other gaming companies (I'm looking at EA, Square-Enix, Capcom and Konami) to get working on games using the motion sensors in the controller.

I myself am really looking forward to FPS on the Revolution. The whole motion sensing controller would be cool for FPS games. Another game that I am really looking forward to is Super Smash Bros. Online.
So far it seems that mostly Japonese developers are on for the ride. There are a few NA (North Americain) companies such as Atari, Ubisoft, EA, etc.
The big N really needs to get more developer support for NA, otherwise the consle will flop like the gCUBE.

The Gamecube wasn't a flop. It sold a lot of units. Just not as many as the PS2 or the XBox.
And for future reference, Ubisoft is a French company.

The Gamecube wasn't a flop.I agree. The overall GameCube package was very impressive! Not as fancy as the PS2 or XBox, but it was made to be a cost-effective & easy-to-use console. It was really the last console to be designed based on the roots that I grew up with - pure gaming. Nothing flashy, none of this "media center" $hit.
And in terms of gaming power per cubic centimeter, I'll give the award to the GameCube any day! The PS2 is in many ways less powerful, and both the PS2 and XBox are huge compared to the GameCube! It's also very quiet, and I like that they used the smaller 8cm disk size for the games. This makes it easier for parents to buy the GameCube for their small children without worrying too much about constantly breaking game disks.
If it weren't for the fact that I'm now a PC gamer all the way, if I were still into consoles, I would have gotten a GameCube.

Hey, i'm not dissing Gcubes. I have one myself, and i love the system. its small, quiet, etc. My one problem with it is the lack of 'mature' games. There is resident evil and metroid prime, but thats it.
My favorite game is super smash bros. melee. Best multiplayer game ever!!!
