Hi Friends :)
I am working as a hardware/network engineer for a medium sized company for the past one year (my total experience in IT). I have been looking for better and challenging areas to work in. Yesterday I was offered a job as a "Customer Support Engineer" for thin-client-computing by a thin-clinet computing consulting company in Mumbai, India. They will provide me on-the-job training on thin-client computing before I take up the job. I wanted to know what is the future on thin-client-computing in IT. What will be my future career prospects in this field once i know the technology well. What scope does thin-client-computing provide for making progress in my career both in terms of remuneration as well as availibility of better opportunities. Should I take up the job given that the pay package is satisfactory.
hoping for an early and positive help from you all.
With regards
Thank you.

Thin client will have a long future in IT just ask CITRIX, if they are using CITRIX then those engineers are in high demand and you should jump on it. If it is a proprietary thin client app the experience will be benificial it really depends on if this interests you though. It is very frustrating however as most thin client servers will make you pull your hair out. (most citrix engineers I know say they would refuse to work on it if they had a choice)
