Not for another "one of those" questions, but i can't in good sense waste
this amount of money without atleast asking..

Ok, I'm not all that dumb when it comes to computers, but I'm fixing to drop
around $2000 and i need someone that really DOES know what they're talking
about to help me before i Mess up big time. Mainly, I'm a hardcore gamer and
I'm looking to get MORE than I'll need with any game that I can play, and I
wanna be able to play on VERY HIGH settings, with no problems or having to
buy anything in 6 months. This is what i'm ordering from newegg if no one
has any suggestions or pointers. THANKS everyone for helping!!!!

And the monitor I thought would be the best for gaming (in 19') - $356

white-black-white (typ)' LCD Monitor - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16824116355

Only other questions I was MAINLY worried about -

1. Is that 500W power supply in that case gonna be enough to run 2 drives,
and the (2) 7800GTs in SLI with plenty of power? If not, PLEASE suggest.

2. Just to make sure everything from the FSB, hyperthreading, duel channel
memory, and etc. is OK with eachother and available.

I could use any advice and suggestions from anyone. I just don't wanna mess
up for by buying or wasting money. All this is around $1950.

Thanks!

Yes, you will want a quality PSU! Check out Saphalline's Top Hardware Picks (http://pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?t=39018) for a PSU suggestion. Also, for RAM stick with one in Saphalline's sticky. With $2000 you will get an awsome machine. You might want to wait to get that second 7800GT for the sake of getting better all around components like PSU/RAM. You can always get the second card later- but you can't always undo the problems of a PSU that fries on you.

Hmmm, i can fork out a little more for a better PSU, and case. I'm kind of leaning toward the BFG 7800GTs because of reviews i've been reading, and an EPOX board.

Can perhaps someone make a better case, and PSU suggestion that i won't have to worry about with dual cards, and a dual core CPU? Thanks guys for ANY help!!

That bundled mobo is OK, but it won't win any awards. I would prefer to pick my own mobo separately (I'm not a big fan of "bundled deals").

The vid cards look good, but if you don't go with the mobo & vid card combo, then just get two of the cheaper ones. Or perhaps get just one OC'ed 7800 GTX.

Dual-core is nice, but will you use it? I'm not saying you won't, I just want to make sure you know what you're buying.

GeiL RAM doesn't have the best compatibility. Corsair and Patriot offer similar RAM specs for less money. Besides, if you're going to buy GeiL, you might as well make it the high performance expensive stuff! :D

That looks like a great monitor. I will also offer another suggestion, though. ;) That's what I do. Samsung 940b (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824001066).

1) - No way to tell much of anything about that PSU. There are no pics of it nor specs. I have no idea if it will work or not. Can you get some specs on it?

If you want more ideas, just check my sticky. If I had to pick one at random to suggest, it would be the Seasonic S12-600 600W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817151025).

2) - Everything is compatible. No hyper-threading, though - that's only on certain Intel processors. But otherwise everything will work together.

I do have one more question about this config, though. You're missing a few key parts that make a complete system, like a hard drive, optical drive, and OS. Do you already have these or do you need to work them into your budget?
