what order to run basic maintenance on XP

Is there a correct order to run basic maintenance on XP?

I do following monthly:
Run Disk Cleanup
Run CheckDisk
Run Defrag
Then Restart.

Does it matter which way you do it?

If you do not include a virus/spyware scan you are putting your system at risk.

Try also checking updates for spyware/firewalls/anti virus software monthly too. :)

I do run Ad-Aware and Spybot about every 10 days and Anti-virus program is kept updated.

I was just wondering whether it was okay to run Defrag before Checkdisk----or does it really matter with XP? I know that with Win 98 you were supposed to run Scandisk before Defrag.

By the way, should I Restart after?

If you need to run scandisk before you defrag, the system will tell you it can't defrag and needs to tun scandisk....
