lost my key

ok, so i went to reinstall doom 3 there after taking it off a few weeks back, of course i now realise that ive lost the manual or whatever piece of paper that the key is on. I now cant install it. Is there anyway of getting another key or anyway round my problem?

Do you still have the case? If so the key is behind disk3 on the inside of the back cover. At least that's where it is on mine.

i dont see any code on the case,is there any other way?
I just sliced my finger on part of the back casing of my comp trying to move it, so i might not be able to play it, do you think i could sue instead?

Sorry I don't know. The key is usually on the cd case somewhere.

ok, i looked all over the case entering ever number i saw, the code is definelty not on my case.

If you are the original owner, and you registered the game when you first installed it, contact ID and they will provide you with the code you used. If that code indeed matches your copy you're in business.

My CD Key is in the CD case (inside back panel) I Guess you could contact Id software and see if they can help you. Maybe they could use the serial number that's on the CD itself as a cross reference to prove you do own the game. Just a guess. Otherwise you might be SOL....

i dont think i regestered it when i bought it, but i am the original owner, i still have the box and case for it so i think i'll have to contact them somehow. But i read the manual thats on the install screen and it said that if you lose your key then you dont get another one.

i found a site that you can downlod doom 3 cd keys, do you reccomend i try that?

ok, i went and downloaded a keygen from lime wire so am sorted, thanks anyway for the response
