keyboard shotcuts dont work !?

hey guys,
ive been having trouble with my shortcuts that i set up - they dont work. It is actually my quick launch toolbar and each icon i assigned to a letter eg. to run firefox i hould be able to press ctrl + alt + f ,but it doesnt work. i thought it might be a diabled keyboard setting but there is nothing in keyboard properties and im all out of ideas :(

The shortcuts need to be in the Start Menus or on the Desktop.

ok thanks for that, seems a bit stupid that they wont let you do it from the quick launch bar but i suppoe they would just expect you to click on them
