Needed Drivers

Hi,

I just brought an old HP Omnibook 500, it works well and will be used for Word Processing and small stuff. It came with a DVD-ROM but the software was not loaded for viewing DVD's. Can someone please direct me to a site that has drivers. Also, please advise on secutiry matters. I currently have Norton, Zone Alarm, Spybot, and Ad-Aware SE installed. My specs are: 256 MB Ram, 20 Gb HD, and Windows XP SP2.

Have you tried the HP web site for the driver?

Can you run Windows XP Upgrade Advisor (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/upgrading/advisor.mspx) to check out all your hardware and software for compatibility?
The DVD drive may or may not be XP compatible, so you need to check that first.
