I was trying to install windows xp in an Asus256 witha pc100 board. After several reboots I got a screen that told me to go into the bios and cancell any shared memory. Well the video is integrated in the motherboard and now my screen is full of junk patterns that can not be translated. Is there anything I can do??? Please help. Thank you in advance for your time.

Reset CMOS by repositioning a MB jumper(see your computer's or MB's instructions), or by removing the CMOS battery for at least 30 minutes.
And make sure that the computer is turned off, you've grounded yourself, and the power cord is disconnected before doing this.

On another note, how much RAM in installed? WinXP might be giving you that message because it doesn't have enough RAM to run/install. According to Microsoft, you need 64MB of RAM just to install WinXP, 128MB to run it, and 192MB or more if you want to actually run programs in WinXP.
