A few weeks ago, I started experiencing a problem in games wherein my computer would stop but keep playing sounds, stop altogether, start playing sounds again, then return to normal. This whole process would take between 20-30 seconds. Its been happening in multiple games both online and off, and after upgrading various drivers and what-not I think it might be a heating problem. After looking at the fans on the computer (one side-mounted, one on top, and one on the back for the power-supply), I realilzed they all were blowing air out of the PC. Now, I'm not a computer expert, but I'm fairly sure that this isn't the correct setup. Any suggestions on which fans I should switch around would be much appreciated. Also, the fan in the back seems to be moving less air than the other two, is that a result of the odd setup? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome tohttp://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif Forums!

Fan orientation is best to have the lower front fan blowing air "into" the case. Rear fans are best to be exhausing the warm rising air out the back...

Have you inspected the innards to insure there's not a buildup of dust on the heatsink and fans etc.?
