opteron 165 0546mpmw?

just got this today, hoping someone can tell me how the stepping is... what mobo has good support for it... anything at all... thanks!

That looks like a 939 Opteron, correct? If so, you can plop that thing into just about any Socket 939 mobo. Although I would suggest a more modern one if you're buying new. ;)

The stepping is so-so. A quick check online indicates that the OC'ers are having much better success with the "spmw" series rather than the "mpmw" series. Nevertheless, if OC'ing isn't your primary concern, there's no reason that Opteron can't perform wonderfully for you.
