My BIOS(AMIBIOS) supports hard disks that are less than 8.4GB. I tried to
get a bigger hard drive, but the BIOS does not allow me to do that. I tried a 15GB hard disk. The BIOS detected it as a 8.4GB hard disk. But WINDOWS 98 detected it as a 15GB hard disk. Why is this?.Can I use the whole space of the 15GB hard disk

Hello.
From what my experience has taught me, i say...yes.
If Windows lets you format the entire 15GB then you are good to go.
Usually this means there is a BIOS patch avaliable for your MB that will fix the listing size. Laters...

Just make sure that your "boot" partion (c drive) isn't bigger than 7GB.

Hope this helps http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
