My son ordered a new ASROCK P4v88+ Motherboard and it had a label on the AGP Slot stating not to use a 3.3 volt AGP Card in it, or it would damage the board, He recently bought a GeForce MX 4000 128 AGP Card, How do we know what the voltage is on this card, reason we are asking, when we tried to boot up the computer, we got some kind of error message, and the computer did not boot, when we turned off the power, and tried to reboot, it would not come on, power supply is ok, tested it with a powersupply tester, I think we fried the MB. Thanks

According to this site (http://www.microcenter.com/byos/byos_single_product_results.phtml?product_id=02186 55) your graphic card is AGP 8x at 0.8 Volts.
Also whats the error message you are getting ?

That vid card has a universal AGP bus connection, so it's not the vid card's fault.

I can't remember what the error message said, when my son gets home from work, I will see if he remembers. I have seen that error once before, however I think the board is tost, had it been up to me, I would have opted for a Gigabyte board. I have had several and have not had one got bad yet. I have upgraded and built several computers, so this is not my first dance. Thanks
