File Sharing

Hi just found this site. I have just set up my home network with one pc wired and a laptop on wireless. I can connect to the internet fine on both machines but cant file share. The laptop appears on the pc but cant access it but nothing is showing on the laptop at all any help appreciated. Running xp pro on pc and xp home on laptop.

goto run and type "services.msc"
make sure the "server" service is set to automatic,
run the network setup wizard
right click on C:\ drive, properties, goto sharing, set everything how you'd like
make sure the computers are on the same workgroup and each should have a name

on each computer goto run and type, \\NAME
of course, put the name of the computer your sitting at, and anything that's shared out on that computer will pop up. if you can't get it on another computer, then your network security is likely to blame. make sure your firewall allows connections from 192.168.0.*
