I think you may be infected with some kind of spyware. I would perform the following steps:
Download, install, update and then perform a full system scan with Adaware (http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5). Fix all critical errors.
Re-boot
Download, install, update and then perform a full system scan with Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html). Fix everything in red.
Re-boot
If you have Windows 2000 or Windows XP, Please download, install, and update the NEW free version of Ewido trojan scanner (http://www.ewido.net/en/download/):
When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
When you run Ewido for the first time, you may get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
From the main Ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful")
Perform a full system scan and fix all that it finds.
Finally, download a copy of Hijackthis. (http://www.subratam.org/main/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=19&Itemid=41) Unzip into a permanent folder. Click on the icon and choose scan and create a log. Post the contents of the log here for review.

I have just a few more questions,
How many critical items were there in Adaware?
How many infected files with Ewido?
Is the system running any better yet?
What version of Lime-Wire do you have. The older versions can be a magnet for spyware. Unless it is the latest version I would get rid of it. Please advise...

63 with adaware,
and umm i cant remember with ewido, not too many.
my limewire is the newest version. and its pro.
my computer is still having problems though. Another thing i forgot to mention is that my computer sometimes restarts by giving me a system cristical error, usually blue with alot of white text. And ive been experiencing this problem often , because i jsut bought a mp3 player--which hooks up to my usb port--, but when i hook it up runs fine for awhile then shows that error screen and restarts.
Don't know if the problems are related, but maybe you can help.

This is the only thing left to fix:

What happens if you take off the MP3 player and remove the software? does the system stabiluty improve?
pyro_man
12-31-2005, 03:07 PM
no im pretty sure the system stability does not improve as it usually happens when i connect my mp3 player via usb.

O, i recently had my computer restart(by itself) and when it loaded again, the computer was going slow, and it was in 800x600, when i usually have it at 1024x768. Anyways i figured it was hte graphics card not loaded or something. So i went to the device manager and under my graphics card this error popped up under properties.
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.
Hmmm, so now i wonder if it could have to do with the graphics card..., however i spoke to one of the other users and he had a similiar problem and all that he did was upgrade his usb from 1.1 to 2.0, and it worked for him. But my graphics card is worrying me now, and i dont really want to buy a new one.

If it is the MP3 player having trouble with the USB port, then removing the MP3 players and the software and leaving it off for a few days should improve the problem, does it?
pyro_man
01-01-2006, 08:43 PM
no, because this problem was happening before i even had the mp3 player. so im guessing that the answer is no. but ill try neways.

hey im still havin this problem any more ideas eagle? cuz it justt randomly freezes up. And for some reason when i try to open halo it hits the part where it says halo. then screen flashes black and closes halo. doesnt freeze. but comp will freeze randomly.
