I have an old IBM Ps/1 consultant, that was upgraded with a motherboard that supported a socket 7 pentium 133. I have the installation guide for this board, and its refered to as a Nova motherboard upgrade kit, by nova pc enhancements, a div. of Bluesun inc. Is this company still around? I need an updated bios, it uses an ami bios, but the number doesn't match any listed elsewhere that I can find. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Lee

Hey guys, the bios # is 51-0703-001169-0010111-101094-SiS551x-H That's an AMI number. Near as I can tell that makes it a Micro-star Motherboard, but I cant find any sort of Micro-star part number on the board. There is a sticker on the board that says Nova Pc Enhancements NP-3375-15 Pentium. It uses the SiS551x chipset, and mounts the pc/isa slots on a riser card.

The only other numbers on the board are P54C S13

Take a look through the Motherboard/BIOS (http://www.hardwarehell.com/bios.htm) links at Trish's, maybe you can find some info. I can't find that BIOS ID string listed, only a couple that are close.

The P54C S13 should be the board's model number, some of the links at Trish's have MicroStar's URL, they might have a manual.

MS 5116-1 That confirms it's a microstar board, but no information was available at their site. Anyone have an other suggestions? I saw a note on an MSI page to check its German site for BIOS upgrades on older models. This one MSI (http://www.msi-technology.de/support/proddata/5116.htm) and another MSI (http://www.msi-computer.de/index_flash.html) link look similar.
Hope this helps.

Lee,

The German MSI site has the manual in English, 5116manu.exe, at this link (http://www.msi-technology.de/support/download/). Microsoft Word was able to view it after it expanded. The file is 1.1M in size.

I have found that manufacturer's German and Taiwan sites are good resources, especially for older equipment, and documentation is often available in English.
