Hi
Thoughts appreciated for a all purpose micro computer, My ideas are-
X-QPack with 420W PSU
MB-socket754, SATA, onboard video & audio, PCIe X16 slot
BIOSTAR TForce 6100 or ASRock K8NF4G???? or?
Sempron64 2800+ Palermo or?
Corsair Value Select 1GB stick
80GB Sata HD Maxtor or WD?
maybe Gigabyte 6600GT PCIe later
old DVD & floppy drives
Thank you Les

By "micro computer" do you mean "small form factor" (SFF)?

If so, I'll put a vote in for Shuttle's SFF barebones units. Top quality stuff for building a small yet reliable computer. What's your budget for this? And will this thing being playing games at all or movie streaming/multimedia duties?

yes SFF
gaming ability, has a PCIe slot & can upgrade CPU, add more memory, 2nd larger HD
budget-cheap but practical
Shuttle-expensive & do not have MB with the above configuration
Thanks Les

Oh, well if the above hardware is all you can afford, then just get that. Those components are all really cheap, so I can't see any ways to make it cheaper, or to make it better without spending more money.

Are the mentioned MBs equally good for what they are? Les
